About
Our story
My name is Chrisna Vorster, and I am the owner of Roots Clay Café. I am also a wife, mother of two and an artist.
Roots Clay Café initially started out as an artist’s studio, which I designed to be shared with like-minded individuals who wanted a space to be creative.
The bigger picture
The next footstep in Roots’ journey came
when I had to find a sustainable way to make money to pay the rent. After
plenty of thought, I came up with the idea to have a little on-the-go coffee
station for those passing by.
Winterton Community
The Winterton community have played a big role in making Roots Clay Café what it is today and, although Roots journeyed down a path very different to the initial plan I had for it, I believe that everything it has become, and all the people who have been involved along the way, have been God sent.
A life lesson
My Dad always says: "You learn something through
everything that you go through." His words are so true. The journey Roots has taken me on has definitely been one of the biggest learning lessons I have gone through and, because of this, I know that whatever God has in store for me can only get better.
